Wear and Care
At Miyu & Ivy, our jewellery is designed to be worn and loved. With a little care and attention, you can help keep your pieces looking beautiful for longer.
Gently wipe after wear: Use a soft, dry microfiber or jewellery cloth to remove oils, perspiration and residue. Avoid abrasive materials, which can wear down the gold plating.
Avoid harsh cleaners: Do not use silver polish, abrasive cleaners or strong cleaning solutions.
Remove before water exposure: Remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or bathing.
PEARLS
Pearls are naturally delicate and require extra care to maintain their lustre.
Put them on last and remove them first: Avoid contact with perfume, cosmetics, lotions and hairspray.
Handle gently: Avoid knocks, drops and contact with harder jewellery.
Store separately: Keep pearls in a soft pouch or jewellery box, away from other jewellery, heat and direct sunlight.
Avoid harsh cleaning: Never use silver polish, abrasive cleaners or an ultrasonic cleaner on pearl jewellery.
STORING YOUR JEWELLERY
Keep it dry: Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place away from humidity and moisture.
Store pieces separately: Keep each piece in its own soft pouch or a lined jewellery box to minimise scratches, friction and contact with other jewellery.
Keep away from chemicals: Perfume, lotions, hairspray, cosmetics and household cleaning products can accelerate wear of the gold plating. We recommend putting your jewellery on last when getting ready.
